2nd Class Teaching Experience

Hi guys and teacher!! hope you're doing good!, let me tell you that I just taught my 2nd class of the Intermediate English II group. It was kind of complicated because again I got that sensation of feeling nervous again!.

I taught "Superlatives", a very important topic in terms of comunication, and a great chance to learn more about it by myself too. I did a great job I think, but I must admit I hesitated because I proscatinated hehe!. I only had a few hours to prepare my class, and I accept it was my fault.

Anyway, I felt comfortable, and I could notice the guys understood very well, and they participated in the activities as always. I must admit that time is the worst enemy of teachers!, and know I understand how it feels for them, I mean, it is a great and a responsibility guys!, and I hope you agree with me!.

In conclusion, teaching is not just standing there in front of a group of people, and speak as if you know it all; teaching involves more things, one of them is responsiblity, hope you guys take it as an advice!. BLESSINGS!!!

  1. Hello Roger! I think we have a big responsibility when we teach our students. I understand the sensation that you feel when you are teaching because I feel the same; however, we must control that. It is part of our major, and we really need to be more confident in some moments. I encourage you to prepare the class in more time because our students deserve the best from us... CONGRATULATIONS ROGER! I think you did a good job!!!

  2. Ouchhh Roger, I share the opinion that we should not prepare things in a hurry because most of the time dont work...but sometimes they just don´t work at all even if you have been preparing them for a long previous time...I really don´t know which is the secret on that..but what I can share with you is that you have to visualize how you want the class to run and in that way you will have a better idea on what you want!!! go ahead Roger!!!

  3. Hello Roger.
I now how that feeling is because I teach on fridays and I get the part I have to teach thrusday morning; besides that I attend to class in the afternoon, so time plays against me. But you have to be organized, and let your mind fly so the ideas come easily.

  5. Hello Roger,
You are right, a teacher’s job is not so easy and it requires responsibility as in any kind of job if you want to do a very good job. It is nice to know that despite of your mistakes things went well in your class. I hope you learn from your mistakes and try to be more responsible. Thanks for your advice and let’s continue improving!!
