My First Entry in Advanced I (Third Period)

Hey people!!, it feels great to be writing to you here again, and I'm doing it very happy because finally I'm starting the last period of practice. It feels great because now I realize how much I've traveled since the very beginning. It has been a lot of sacrifice, but thank God all of this is worth something!.

Today I started my first class in the Advanced I level, the group is great, they even seem to be interested in the major, so as in English as well. At the beginning I felt worried because I had to introduce a topic named "Passive Voice", Yes!, I know it is kind of difficult to explain that topic, but I did it!. I prepared myself and I developed some useful activities in order to reinforce what they saw in Intermediate II. It was great, all were participating, even though there are always some students who are shy because they feel afraid of being corrected. What I'm trying to improve is that!, in other words, to make those students be motivated, so that I transmit energy and I throw away the personal problems I have, so they notice my enthusiasm, and feel eager to learn.

In first place there is God, who has given me the strength to continue. I was afraid of teaching the passive voice, but now what I want is to teach more topics I havent taught!, yes, I feel happy. Bleesings!!!

  1. Well done Roger! We are finally concluding this period! When you prepare well, you do well! As I read, you did a good work, and we know that grammar is a little hard to explain, but if you try your best, you do your best. That your students participate feels excellent because you want to share more and more hahaha such a good feeling! Keep up! We are missing just few classes only!

  2. Hy Roooga!, I was working with that group last period and they are really nice; they all like to participate. What you are saying it´s true sometimes we say we can´t do something without giving a try, and as you go what we need is to try , we for sure we will make it. Nice attitude that´s how a teacher must be! You transmited good energies to your students. cool!!
